Things are heating up lately. Can you feel it? Russia’s incursion into the Ukraine is all but over, the New York Times admits that the Hunter Biden laptop is real, and somewhere in the shadows Durham is lurking with his investigation. A confluence of events could bring down the Biden administration at any moment and then what?
It feels like we are getting close to something, and I would like to think we will soon be rid of this awful excuse of a presidency. Many patriots are looking forward to the day when Trump returns. While I would love to see that happen soon, I am of the belief it will still be a while before that happens. Let’s be honest, on a personal level, would you be in a hurry if you were Trump? The thought of going through the meat grinder of the press, dealing with a congress that hates you, and waking up every single day to defend yourself against a deep state lie is not appealing. I don’t think Trump is quite ready yet and I am almost certain we are not either.
Going back to Trump’s inauguration address, Trump spent the better part of his address talking about returning the government back to the people. I think Trump’s ideal return to the office of the presidency is when it is greatly reduced in power and when the power lies with the people more than with the president.
“Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning, because today we are not merely transferring power from one administration to another, or from one party to another, but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C., and giving it back to you, the people.” – Donald J Trump Jan 20th, 2017
This was more than just a patronizing hat tip to the Americans who voted for him or some empty promise from a newly elected candidate. This was a promise Trump intended to keep. It sounds good to us, it appeals to our political and patriotic senses, but do we really know what that means: transferring power back to the people?
I know what you are saying, “Of course we know what this means. This is America; for the people and by the people!” Sadly, we have been ruled by a uniparty for so long, many of us do not even know what our forefathers envisioned. Our elections have been rigged for a while now, at least since 2000 if not even before. We have had our election choices made for us and we have made a habit of letting presidents exercise power they never should have had. It reminds me of that scene in Patriot when the slave reads that he would be free after serving in the army and the other guy says,
“What in the hell are you gonna do with freedom?”
The truth is, we have let freedom slip through our hands. We have sacrificed freedom for safety. We let freedom go with the Patriot Act. We sacrificed freedom for safety in air travel and the introduction of the TSA at airports. We let the government take freedom from us during the Covid 19 “Dempanic” and if we don’t change things at every level our government will continue to use safety as leverage.
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." – Ben Franklin
So, are we ready to become rulers of our nation again? Not if we continue to think that Trump is going to save us. I have always cringed when people say we are the plan. That is both scary and sobering. However, we ARE a large part of the plan. Patel Patriot refers to it as the “Devolution Sandwich.” The idea being that devolution is not just a top-down idea but there is bottoms-up portion as well. We must start taking back our government at the local level. Call it a hunch, but I truly believe Trump wants to return when we are ready to rule again.
“What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people. January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.” - DJT
It wouldn’t be a Biernutz_71 article if I didn’t make another movie reference. I guess that is the role I have been given whether I like it or not. One of my favorite movies lately has been Ready Player One. I was thinking about this exact topic when I coincidently started watching this movie again. If you are unfamiliar with the movie and the plot it is basically this:
In 2045 the planet is on the brink of chaos and collapse, but people find salvation in the OASIS: an expansive virtual reality universe created by eccentric James Halliday. When Halliday dies, he promises his immense fortune to the first person to discover a digital Easter egg that's hidden somewhere in the OASIS. When young Wade Watts joins the contest, he finds himself becoming an unlikely hero in a reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical world of mystery, discovery, and danger. - Film Synopsis
Watching this movie again through the lens of patriotism it is easy to see the analogy that America is the Oasis. Wade Watts described the Oasis as a place where you not only go and do whatever you want, but you can BE whoever you want. That has been America for over two hundred years. A place where dreams come true. A land of opportunity where it doesn’t matter where you came from, you could still become something great in America.
Today, America is still the greatest land of opportunity, but it is slowly slipping away. The small group of rich elites are making it harder and harder for us to succeed. The villain in Ready Player One is your typical corporate psychopath Nolan Sorrento looking to capture the golden Eastern egg for all the wrong reasons. Wade Watts wants to win the egg in order to keep it from Sorrento and preserve James Halliday’s dream. We have an obligation to preserve the American Dream and keep it from falling into the hands of the deep state.
The dream of America is still the same as it has always been life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. However, that dream has faded for many. The dream for the forgotten men and women has become a nightmare of taxation, regulations, and a two-tiered justice system. Trump recognized this many years ago and I believe it is the preservation of this dream that he is fighting for. I thought the word Trump would have used the most in his inauguration speech would have been “we” or “people”, but it is not:
“But the word Trump used most in his speech wasn’t “people,” “power,” or even “great.” It was ”dreams.” At one point, Trump said he would “bring back our dreams.” Later, when talking about the victims of the aforementioned carnage, he said ”their dreams are our dreams.” – Keith Collins
There were three keys that Wade Watts needed to unlock the golden Easter egg. To get a key he had to unlock a riddle and solve a puzzle related to the Oasis and James Halliday. I know you digital soldiers would love a chance to solve a mystery and unlock the keys for Trump’s return but that is not the prize. I do not hasten Trump’s return as much as I look forward to the return of America to the people. When that happens (and it will) we have three things we MUST do to keep it:
Elect local sheriffs who represent our views and values. Please research the enormous constitutional power that local sheriff is afforded.
Become personally active in policy. We can no longer be passive in word or deed when it comes to matters of civic policy.
Ensure local elected officials reflect our values and beliefs. Everything from schoolboard officials to city council members, to election board members should all have MAGA patriots represented.
I truly believe we are on the precipice of obtaining that Oasis; of preserving that dream which so many patriots before us bled and died for. The children of Israel wandered in the desert for 40 years before entering the promised land. Three generations of slave mentality had to be flushed away so they would never seek the relative comfort and safety of tyranny again. We have enslaved ourselves for the sake of safety and comfort and we have graciously been given another chance to be free…to become rulers of this nation again. Are you ready?

“I would rather die with Christ and hope in my heart and be called a fool than to stand over the dead corpse of the Republic and say I told you so.”
Outstanding, RP1 is one of my favs as well and I appreciate your take on the Oasis as the USA - never watched from that perspective and makes for a whole new experience. Hat Tip - by the way as a kid in the 70’s the Stanley Hotel was vacant and we would tear thru the place in the summers...
I wholeheartedly agree on the cringe point. A very fitting movie reference. I will note there are many similarities to todays atmosphere and would encourage anyone to watch the movie, several times. Interesting how I can draw a line to current goings-ons ie: “A new subculture was born, composed of the millions of people who now devoted every free moment of their lives to searching for Halliday’s egg.” = Digital Soldiers , intriguingly similar. I would not have made the connection without this article even though i know this movie well. We have so much to learn, grateful you are here to help.
