So, at this moment I am writing this waiting for the wood filler dry on the coffee table I am making my oldest son. My son moved out recently to his first apartment and I can tell you I am very proud of his accomplishments. I had such high hopes for my ability to construct a perfect coffee table for him. The intent is noble, the plan is pretty flawless but it is always the execution that leaves so much to be desired. As I contemplate my next steps in the process I am reminded of Donald J Trumps plan. I have to tell you, the intent is to literally save the world, the plan is not fully understood, but my Lord the execution appears to be absolutely flawless at this point.
Unlike the designs I have the coffee table, Trump’s plan to get to the end product is not fully known. We have a general idea and we kind of know what the result is, but at the end of the day we stare at unfinished product. So far, my coffee table has had two broken screws, gaps as wide as Stacy Abrams teeth, and more wood filler than a…well a Bob Woodward fake Trump piece.
The interesting nature of writing this is that woodworking and writing share a similar challenge: shaping parts that don’t seem to fit into a homogenous end product that makes sense and is appealing despite flaws that only the creator knows. It is was makes what Trump is undertaking at the moment so incredibly fascinating.
The sheer magnitude of this Sting Operation is hard to comprehend, and we still don’t know the full nature of it yet. However, we can be sure when it is all over that not only the world will be better, but the Republic of the USA will be as well. Like an oblivious observer of my coffee table or a casual reader of this thread, no one may ever know all the mistakes, cover-ups, or missteps of the plan, but it sure does look like Trumps is carving out a great masterpiece.
Relevant references to both Stacy Abrams AND Bob Woodward in one short piece. Masterful.
Great writing, BN. Excellent insight.
Beautiful coffee table ... beautiful plan. God is in control!
