Is Lin Wood a patriot or is he Deep state opposition? Whether you are solidly in the Lin Wood camp or you believe him to be a Deep State operator bent on destroying our movement, either way it is having the effect the Deep State wants. It is dividing us.
I have witnessed in the last couple of days several great chat rooms turn somewhat salty if not outright toxic over the Lin Wood debate. The pungent brine mixture of Lin Wood loyalists defending his character and spirituality against the facts of Lin Wood’s behavior and outcomes is enough to pickle any audience.
This debate is not going to end because of anything I say or do. I actually followed Lin Wood for a bit and then saw myself slowly drifting away. When this happens, it is usually for a reason. As I am writing this, I am listening to the Dilleyshow.com and he is absolutely going off on anyone and everyone who he believes has been duped by Lin Wood (himself included). What I find interesting his use of the word discernment.
Discernment is a term that I usually reserve for my church and religious circles, but it seems to be used quite frequently in our little corner of cyber space too. I like Dilley and I believe him to be a genuine, if not raw personality (those that listen to him know what I mean). He is right in saying we need to do a better job of discernment and admit when we have been duped.
I am going to take a softer approach on this subject. Rather than make a case for or against Lin Wood (and by extension any of his ardent followers), I want to issue a challenge. Can we find a way to stick together through all of this as Patriots? The truth is, our MAGA movement and those who we would call Patriots have always wanted to broaden our base and even “red pill” our liberal friends and family. What did you think would happen when that becomes a reality?
The truth is, there is a swelling current of Trump followers who are coming from all walks of life. The followers of Lin Wood are part of that groundswell. Our ranks are growing, our conspiracies are becoming reality, and our fringe research has become the topic of leftist media hit pieces (Rachel Madow anyone?). We are over the target and we need everyone awakened. We want as many people as possible who love this country and the freedom it represents to be united.
“I want anyone who believes in life, liberty, pursuit of happiness to succeed. And I want any force, any person, any element of an overarching Big Government that would stop your success, I want that organization, that element or that person to fail. I want you to succeed.”
-Rush Limbaugh
The way I see it, the problem is not whether we lack discernment, or the followers of any particular person lack discernment, it is about RECOGNIZING CONSERVATIVE INSTINCTS. I don’t draw on a spiritual discernment when choosing who I listen to or who I follow. I follow and listen to people that appeal to my conservative instincts and I recognize those who have similar instincts. Lin Wood DOES NOT POSSESS CONSERVATIVE INSTINCTS. That doesn’t mean I am passing judgement on him, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t do good things, it just means he is going to make mistakes (big ones) because up until a 3 years ago he was a Liberal Democrat.
Conversely, my journey in politics and civic interest dates back to 1992 when I first was able to vote, and I defended voting for George H W Bush (yikes). Shortly thereafter, I was a defacto member of the “Rush Limbaugh institute for advance conservative studies.” I would watch his TV programs and listen to Rush every day for almost 30 years (TV didn’t last that long) and I think I have pretty good handle on the Liberal playbook and how they think. Rush also taught us what it means to be a true conservative; both fiscally and morally.
With half my brain tied behind my back, just to make it fair it is easy to see that the ranks of those who long for the return to normal (and potentially the return of Trump) is going to consist of those who do not have the instincts we do. We must be aware of this and show support; help them in the journey as Rush did. To recap what it means for me to be conservative:
Fiscally
· Smaller government
· Lower taxes
· Strong National defense
· Strong Borders
· Free Market Capitalism
· Fewer Regulations
· Energy Independence
Morally
· All of the above
· Pro Gun (“You wanna know why there is a second amendment? In case the government fails to follow the first one -Rush) Limbaugh
· Pro Life (“I'm pro-choice. But I hope that choice will be life” -Rush Limbaugh)
· Voter ID
That’s it for me in a nutshell. I am sure there are other issues I am forgetting but those are the main ones for me. It’s not discernment folks, it’s not a rush to judgement, it’s simply my conservative Instincts. It is the litmus test that everyone I listen to, follow, or subscribe to must pass. However, that does not mean that those who do not pass the test are somehow vilified or lost. To me, it simply means we have more work to do. After the red pill is taken, who will lead and guide them like El Rushbo did for me? Let’s hope some of that talent on loan from God has found it’s way to other patriots!

Conservative instincts. My instincts told me very early on that Wood had ulterior motives. My instincts are usually spot on. He showed all of us his true colors. He is no reason for us to be divided. He is one man, with questionable character.
